My profile

Your profile page is where you manage your personal account details, upload a profile photo, change between light and dark mode, and update your password. The page is split into three tabs.

Getting started

Click your name or avatar in the sidebar (or the top-right of the navbar) and select My profile, or navigate directly to Settings > My profile.

How it works

The profile page covers settings that are personal to you and don't affect anyone else on the team. Your role and group assignments are visible here but are managed by an admin in Settings > User management, not by you.

Step-by-step guide

Update your profile details

Open Settings > My profile and stay on the Profile settings tab. Update any of the fields below:

Click Save at the bottom of the page.

Upload or change your profile photo

  1. On the Profile settings tab, click Upload New Image under the photo
  2. Pick an image file from your computer
  3. The new photo replaces the current one immediately
  4. Click Save to keep the change

Switch between light and dark mode

  1. Open the Site settings tab
  2. Toggle the switch between LIGHT MODE and DARK MODE
  3. The change applies to your account only. Other team members keep their own preference
  4. Click Save

Change your password

  1. Open the Change password tab
  2. Enter your Old Password
  3. Enter your New Password
  4. Click Change Password
  5. A confirmation message appears on success, or an error message if the old password is wrong or the new password doesn't meet requirements

If you've forgotten your old password, sign out and use the Forgot password? link on the sign-in page instead.

A success message appears below the form on save; an error message appears if the change fails.

Good to know

  • Your role and groups are read-only on this page. An admin manages them in Settings > User management.
  • Light and dark mode are personal preferences. Each team member sets their own.
  • Your profile photo is shown in the sidebar avatar, the navbar dropdown, and anywhere else your name appears (activity logs, comments, etc.).
  • The email field is read-only because it's tied to your sign-in. To change your sign-in email, an admin needs to deactivate your account and invite you again at the new email.
  • Birthday is optional but, if set, drives a friendly birthday greeting on your profile dashboard.

FAQ

Q: I'm in the wrong group. How do I add myself to another group?

A: Group membership is managed by an admin. Ask an admin to add you in Settings > User management. The Groups badge on your profile updates as soon as the admin saves.

Q: How do I enable two-factor authentication?

A: 2FA is not currently configurable from the profile page. If your subscription includes platform-managed 2FA, an admin can enable it for the company.

Q: I changed my password but can't sign in. Why?

A: Try the Forgot password? flow on the sign-in page to reset. If you keep getting locked out, ask an admin to send you a fresh invite.

Q: Can I change which page I land on after sign-in?

A: The default landing page is configured per company group, not per user. Ask an admin to update it under Settings > Company groups > Edit group > Locale and formatting > Default landing page. See Company groups for the full set of options.

Q: I uploaded a new photo but the old one still shows in some places. Why?

A: Your browser may have cached the old image. Hard-refresh (Cmd-Shift-R on Mac, Ctrl-F5 on Windows) to clear the cache.
