Custom Deposits and Payment Requests

Overview

Custom deposits allow your business to take a specified value to confirm a booking and prevent booking expiration. By default, deposits aren't typically enabled - in these cases it allows businesses to confirm a booking without full payment.

With deposits enabled, businesses can accept partial payment to confirm a booking. This opens up the opportunity for your guest to tip using your physical payment terminal within your business.

Allowing Deposits for Your Experience

This option can be toggled in Games > Game Settings.

  • Go to the respective game. Under Actions, click the three dots to expand the drop down menu.
  • Select Edit game.
  • Navigate from the Game details tab to Pricing, down below is Deposits.
  • Toggle the Allow deposit and Require only deposit amount during checkout options.
  • Define the Deposit type and Deposit amount.
  • Click Save to apply your changes.

Payment expiration

This option can be toggled in Purchases > Payment Settings.

  • Under Payment Requests, you can Enable payment request expiration and define the timeout.
