Dashboards

Reporting and AnalyticsApril 21, 2026·11 min read·Updated May 24, 2026

Dashboards are live, shareable views of your business data. You build them by adding widgets: charts, activity streams, or single-number statistics. Each widget pulls from a data source like bookings, transactions, events, customers, or payments, and you can filter by event, staff member, or purchase type.

Getting started

Navigate to Reporting and analytics > Dashboards from the sidebar. This opens your pinned dashboard in live view. To create new dashboards or switch between them for editing, click Dashboard settings in the top right.

How it works

Dashboards have two pages:

  • Dashboard display. The live view of your pinned dashboard. Use it day-to-day or put it on a venue screen. You can refresh the data, expand to fullscreen, and switch between your dashboards. This is what opens when you click Dashboards in the sidebar.
  • Dashboard settings. The list of all your dashboards. This is where you create, pin, rename, and delete dashboards. Click any dashboard's Edit dashboard option to open the editor, where you add widgets and arrange the layout.

Each dashboard is a grid of widgets. Widgets come in three types:

  • Chart, a line, bar, or pie chart of a measurement over time or across categories
  • Activity stream, a live feed of the most recent events from a chosen source
  • Statistic, a single aggregate number (count, sum, average, highest, lowest) with optional breakdowns by event or staff member

Widgets are driven by your live data. A change to a booking or transaction shows up on the dashboard the next time the widget is loaded or the user clicks refresh.

Only one dashboard can be pinned at a time. Pinning replaces any previous pin and determines which dashboard opens in the live view when you click Dashboards in the sidebar.

  3. Under Widget configuration, choose a Widget type: chart, activity stream, or statistic
  4. Configure the type-specific settings (see the next three sections)
  5. Configure Time range, Display options, and any filters that apply

  3. Pick a Data source (see the reference table)
  4. Pick a Measurement when the source offers choices
  5. Pick a Field to plot
  6. Configure the Time range

Tip: Line charts plot trends over time and need a time range. Bar and pie charts can use Show all records to show totals across categories without a date window.

Configure an activity stream widget

  1. Set Widget type to Activity stream
  2. Pick an Activity source: Event log, Booking activity log, Transaction activity log, or Customer email events
  3. Set Number of events to show (1 to 100)

  2. Resize by dragging the bottom-right corner
  3. Your layout saves automatically

Change a widget's highlight color

  1. Open the widget's three-dot menu
  2. Pick one of five accent swatches at the top of the menu (pink, blue, orange, teal, rose)

Rename or delete a dashboard

  1. In the dashboard editor, open the top-right three-dot menu
  2. Select Rename to update the Name or Description, then click Save
  3. Or select Delete dashboard to permanently remove the dashboard and all of its widgets. You can also delete from the three-dot menu on the Dashboard settings list

Good to know

  • Clicking Dashboards in the sidebar opens the live view, not the list. Use Dashboard settings in the top right to reach the list and manage dashboards.
  • Pinning is exclusive. Only one dashboard can be pinned per user at any time. Pinning a different one replaces the previous pin.
  • Activity stream widgets always show the latest records, regardless of time range settings.
  • Show breakdown by event and Show breakdown by staff member only appear for statistic widgets. Chart widgets can filter to a single event or staff member, but not break down across them.
  • The Purchase type filter section only appears when the data source is Purchases. Use it to scope revenue widgets to a subset of your catalog.
  • Metric types depend on field data type. Count works on any field. Sum, Average, Highest value, and Lowest value need numeric or currency fields.
  • Fullscreen mode on the live view is designed for venue-floor displays. Pair with your existing pinned dashboard so it's what viewers see.
  • Deleting a widget or dashboard is permanent. Consider renaming or duplicating before a destructive change.

FAQ

Q: Can I pin more than one dashboard?

A: No. Only one dashboard can be pinned at a time. Pinning a different one replaces the previous pin.

Q: What's the difference between a chart and a statistic widget?

A: A chart widget plots data over time or across categories. A statistic widget shows a single aggregate number (count, sum, average, highest, or lowest) for the selected time range, optionally broken down by event or staff member.

Q: How do I display a dashboard on a TV in my venue?

A: Pin the dashboard you want shown, then open the live view and click the fullscreen icon in the top right. The display stays current as widget data reloads.

Q: Can viewers change a widget's time range without opening the editor?

A: Yes, if the editor enabled Show range option picker on dashboard for that widget. The Showing results for dropdown appears above the widget on the live view.

Q: Can I share a dashboard with only certain teammates?

A: Yes. Open Configure access and permissions and turn off Accessible to everyone, then select Viewers (read only) and Editors (full control).

Q: How do I export data from a widget?

A: Open the widget's three-dot menu and select Export data. Choose CSV, JSON, or PNG. Non-editor viewers only see export if the editor toggled Allow data export on dashboard view on that widget.

Q: Which metric types work with which fields?

A: Count works with any field. Sum, Average, Highest value, and Lowest value need numeric or currency fields like Price, Total, Revenue, Number of interactions, or Group size.
